Getting Ready for Christmas!

Will was a big help at Kohl's a few weeks ago. He enjoyed hiding below the clothes and even managed to escape Grandma Margie and I. We both looked up at each other and I asked her if she could see Will. A few seconds of panic-mode and he was found out in a main aisle staring at people walk by. It was scary!! Lesson learned: Will stays in the cart/stroller for all shopping trips now.

Will was a dancin' machine at Angie and Nate's wedding. He didn't think it was time to leave, even though it was almost 10:00. This kid is usually in bed at 8:00 . . . it was getting a little too late for him!

For Thanksgiving, we spent time at Great Grandpa and Grandma Heller's in Wisner and made it over to the Zatechka's for supper and games. Grammy bought all of the cousins pajamas again : ) Last year Will was 4 months old and Elijah was 8 months at Thanksgiving.

Grandma Margie and I tried everything to get Will's "Christmas Card Picture" and this was about the best we could get out of him! Everything is still "hot" and having a Christmas tree up in the house has been interesting.

The day after William's "Christmas card" photo shoot, Sammy managed to get this adorable picture! And this is one of the pictures on the Christmas card : )
Last Christmas was the only Christmas that William will share with Great Grandpa Nekl (Gramps). He passed away on December 10th at the Good Samaritan Society in Osceola. Gramps was 86 years old and had poor health for the past few years. We will miss you, Gramps!

Happy Halloween!

We had a pretty uneventful Halloween this year. Saturday afternoon Will woke up from his nap with a fever. His temperature wasn't going down, so he had to skip trick or treating this year. Luckily, by Sunday afternoon he was back to his old self. So Will wore his costume around tonight for a few pictures!

Sam is helping Will fly!

His costume on Halloween was both his diaper and his Superman PJs. He was so hot that it was mostly his diaper. At least he's still young enough not to get upset about missing Halloween.

He wasn't a huge fan of his polyester costume!

15 Month Check-Up and Baby #2

Will is 15 months old today! Dr. Dek measured him at 32 in (75%), 24 lb 7 oz (48%) and his head was 62%. After she checked his weight she noticed a weight plateau for a few months so he gets to take a multi-vitamin. We will go back in a month to check his weight. This kid eats all of the time, I can't believe he's actually considered "thin."

He loves his daycare that he started in August and he likes playing with all of the kids. Which will be nice when Baby #2 starts there after the summer. Oh, yeah . . . we are having another baby!! I am due May 1st and have had a great 1st trimester. Let's hope the rest is smooth sailing.
We went over to the Nichols' for pizza a few weeks ago. Will and Cruz are only two weeks apart in age. It was funny watching them share and play together.
Will preferred to crawl out the window instead of using the door. Sammy was calling him Luke for the Dukes of Hazard : )

It Snowed In October : (

The day after we went to the pumpkin patch (October 10th) it snowed!! I'm glad we went the day before! Will refused to come inside after 20 minutes.

Hard at work!

Still shoveling

Now I'm in the grass.

Will at the Pumpkin Patch

Will is pointing to the pumpkin he wants. Of course he is saying, "dat, dat, dat!" At home he refers to the pumpkins as "ball."

I didn't get the whole size of the horse in the picture, but I did manage to get many pictures of Will riding this horse alone!

Will loves to drive our cars in the driveway. This was very fun to him : )

The animals were probably the best part of the pumpkin patch. He would run back to the barn or the pen to see the animals more. I guess grandpa needs to take him to great grandpa's farm more often!

WHO DOES OUR SON LOOK LIKE?? We get mixed opinions of who Will resembles. I thought this could be a good picture to get some new votes!

Hello, Fall!

Will's favorite thing to eat lately is corn on the cob! He can really eat a lot : ) But of course he tells us "hot, hot" the whole time while he is eating.

Look at me dad!

Will loves his piggy bank and coins. He will hand you his piggy bank (which is a hint for you to open the bottom) and he will sit and put all of his coins in the slot. He does think it's funny to put the coins up to his mouth for you to say, "No!" And this picture just happens to show Will posing in front of the window for the neighbors!

Aunt Cindy bought him some stacking blocks for his birthday and he loves to make a tower and knock them down.

How does mom get this to work?

Labor Day and Train Ride

Last week, Will went to an Orthopedic Pediatrician to look at his bow legs. Dr. Hasley said children can be bow legged until two and that Will would probably be fine after he grows a little more. So now when people tell me how bow legged that he is I can tell them, "He's FINE!" It was driving me crazy how many people would comment to us!! Luckily, it isn't anything to worry about.

For Labor Day weekend we went to Grampy and Grammy's house to hang out for a few days. We watched the Husker game out on the deck and William played with his cousins.
Elijah (17 mo) Will (13 mo)

Grandpa Timmy had the boys come on his train for a quick ride, too! We were a little nervous about how Will would like this idea . . . for those of you who know how much William LOVES trains!!! But he did great and I got some fun pictures!

We haven't been up to much lately, I'm sure we will attend a UNO game or two this fall.

Will's 1st Birthday

July 25th we celebrated William's birthday with family and friends. The theme that Will picked out was a monkey party!! Will's great grandparents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and a few family friends came over to party in the garage : )
Will enjoyed his cupcake and cake, he surprised us by eating the sweets because usually he spits them out.
It didn't take too long before he ate the entire cupcake!
Megan Ringenberg created Will's monkey cake and Colette Siner helped us out by bringing her special monkey cupcakes!

Thanks for making this a fun day for William and us! Enjoy the rest of the summer and we hope to see everyone again soon.

Our Birthday Boy!

Will turned one on July 22nd! He has started drinking from sippy cups and isn't quite sure how much he likes COLD milk now. I am surprised how well he is drinking from a cup because he used to let the juice/water run out of his mouth and smile : ) He is also cutting two teeth this week (perfect timing for his birthday), which brings us to 3 top and 3 bottom teeth!

Working With Dad- Will and Sammy spent a few days getting ready for William's birthday party and I came outside to catch Will fixin' the mower!!! He was covered in dirt, grass, and GREASE! His birthday party is tomorrow and I will post pictures later this weekend.

Play, Play, Play- His new place to play is inside our living room hutch. He takes out all of the bins and toys to sit in their with his snack or cup. It's very cute!

Fun in the Sink- Will's favorite fruit these days is pineapple, which leads us to quick rinses in the sink.

Zzz Zzz- It seems like Will eats all day, I hope his daycare doesn't mind feeding him this much! He eats all solid foods now and is a big fan of cheese : ) All of the eating must make him tired.

Family- This is from our little family outing at O Fest, Will took a spill at the pool earlier this afternoon and scraped up his chin : ( He did very well with the large crowd and loud music. He was definitely a people-watcher!!

Will is Almost ONE!!

Lately, Will has been entertained with pulling dishes out of the dishwasher. A few days ago he learned how to climb into the dishwasher and get dishes down from the top rack. This is his new chore : )

Will is walking all over the place now! He still crawls to get places close, but he is a walker!!

Family picture at the lake, in a week we will celebrate the 4th of July and Sammy's birthday!

Will and I attended the Bennington Daze Parade last weekend. He didn't like the loud fire truck sirens, but ended up enjoying the rest of the parade! He liked chewing on the suckers that kids gave us.
Our handsome boy gets all of the church girls smilin' at him!!
