The tubes are in!
UPDATE: Will's surgery went well yesterday! He hasn't had any problems with his ears and has remained happy and smiley : ) Hopefully he feels much better now and won't have anymore ear infections!!! Thanks for all of the phone calls and prayers!
Memorial Day Weekend
Will does NOT want to work with dad! We tried taking a picture with a Kiewit hard hat and Will refused to wear it : ) This was the best we could get.
Brave Will didn't mind the chilly water on Memorial Day Weekend. He loves the lake and splashing!
Will and Elijah tried to play nice together in this pool, but they wouldn't sit in it together!
After swimming all day the boys played one more time together before bedtime!

Will at 10 months
Hello! No pictures this morning, just a quick update. This week Will had an appointment with Dr. Edmunds and ENT and we have decided Will needs tubes. He has had too many ear infections and his ear canals prohibit any fluid from ever clearing out of his ear. Putting in tubes will be the perfect solution to this, hopefully!
He is still a happy boy even with his chronic ear infections! Will has two top teeth and two bottom teeth. His newest accomplishment is standing up without assistance! He also enjoys crawling up the stairs (thanks Grandpa) and EATING!! Now that Uncle David is home he allows William to pull hair and bite! We're working on correcting these bad habits!
My last day with students was yesterday and June 1st Will and I will start our summer job. Julie Walsh has asked us to watch her 3 kids this summer : ) Will and I can spend our days in the pool and playing with them. I will post some pictures after Will's tube surgery and let everyone know how he is doing.

Nine Months
Will recently celebrated his nine month birthday! Last week, Dr. Dek limited his breathing treatments to twice a day and we still keep him on Zyrtec. In a few weeks he will see Dr. Nelson (Pulmonologist) to determine the cause of his chronic cough prior to RSV. You can't even tell that he has been sick! He loves yellin' and playin' : ) Thank you for all of your prayers!

Will is obsessed with our baby gate! He loves shaking the bars and standing up.

William was supposed to take a nap . . . but he decided it was time to scream and play!

He has also been busy vaccuming the house with mom! We're also not quite sure what to do with his sweet hair! It is getting so long on top : )

Palm Sunday, Easter, and RSV update
We had many Easter celebrations and Will was excited to see his cousins on the Heller and Gutz sides. The picture below is from Palm Sunday at Great Grandpa & Grandma Heller's house in Wisner. Gpa & Gma have 10 great-grandchildren that are all BOYS!!

At the indoor Easter Egg Hunt in Wisner. Will would pick up anything, not just eggs!

Here comes William and Grandma Margie!

William and Tucker are only a few days apart!
Dad and Will enjoying the Easter Egg Hunt at Great Aunt Becky's house in Shelby.

By Easter, Will was a pro at finding Easter eggs and Easter baskets! Here he is at Grammy Dixie's in Columbus.

Here are two pictures from Saturday night before Easter. Estella had fun pushing Will in his wagon, unfortunately the wagon couldn't hold all of Will's 21 lbs!! See the next pic!

Sorry Grammy, we can get you a new wagon!

We had quite a week of hospital and doctor visits! On Monday, April 6th we took Will to Dr. Dek because he has been coughing since December. She asked us to start William on Zyrtec to see if the cough is allergy related and have him get x-rays/lab tests at Children's Hospital. We went in Wednesday and his results came back that his lungs were inflammed. The nurses also did some lab tests to check for RSV, influenza and a few other infections. Then Thursday we started his steriods to help with the inflammation in his lungs. His cough didn't seem to get any better by Friday so he went back to Dr. Dek and she had the lab results . . . He has RSV : ( But this doesn't tell us why he has coughed since December! For now we are doing 3 breathing treatments/day and keeping him on Zyrtec (we're finished his round of steroids). We go back to Dr. Dek on Thursday, April 16th for a check-up. Hopefully we will be closer to an answer for his ongoing cough!! Keep William in your prayers.

March was a fun month! Will has mastered crawling and standing by his 8 month birthday. It’s so much fun watching him learn new things. Every day he does something new and surprises us! He stands up to our couches, his LeapFrog table, and other toys.

After celebrating mommy’s birthday on the 16th we had another birthday to celebrate. Will’s cousin, Elijah, turned ONE on March 27th. His birthday party was at Chuck E Cheese in Lincoln. The pictures below are from the party. Will enjoyed the “Bob The Builder” ride and the Jeep off-road simulation ride. He thought he was a pretty big boy on these rides! You can tell Will likes something if he has his mouth open VERY wide, even though the pictures make him look like he is crying or screaming.

2 Teeth and Crawling
Will has started crawling and teething!! We're working on crawling forward, but he prefers to go backwards. Right around his 7 month birthday he started scooting backwards and welcomed 2 bottom teeth. He also likes standing up to his activity table and couches. William is becoming very wild and grabs at anything!
